Philanthropy for Responsible Tourism

Introduction

African Remotes Explorer, as its name suggests, was founded by a family living in Tanzania’s remote rural areas. Aware of the economic challenges faced by these regions, our mission is to transform them into viable conservation economies that benefit both the local communities and the environment.

Our commitment to conservation and responsible tourism is deeply ingrained in the fabric of African Remotes Explorer. We are dedicated to creating a positive impact in the areas where we operate, fostering long-lasting relationships with marginalized rural communities. Through this engagement, we aim to empower these communities and enhance their livelihoods.

Long-Term Projects and Sustainable Impact

Our primary objective is to identify and support long-term, sustainable projects that improve the wellbeing of local populations. Each initiative is collaborative, working closely with communities to ensure their specific needs are met, delivering impactful solutions that benefit future generations.

With the help of the revenue we generate and generous contributions from our guests, we fund initiatives that improve access to health services, clean water, education, and enhance local livelihoods, all while supporting environmental conservation and ecosystem preservation. One of our recent efforts includes the launch of “Secure Datoga Future (SDF)” in Tanzania, an initiative aimed at providing education and opportunities for the marginalized Datoga community in rural areas.
